Gotta disagree with you on this one BH.
Flavored cigars often have a tremendous amount of chemical casing in them. I wouldn't store any flavored cigars in my humidor for 5 minutes let alone a couple of weeks. The odor can really stink up a humidor. The intensity of the problem is magnified by...
I have taken my Palio through security many times, had it examined and given back. It hasn't been a problem for me at all.
Edited: Until I lost it. Now, I can't take my SAK through.
Dude relax,
I wasn't "dissing" your wife. I made it pretty clear that I think it is cool she knows your interested in cigars and wanted to give you a gift you enjoyed. That is why I said I think is sweet. You'll learn after awhile that a wife that supports cigar smokers like the way yours does...
I have had very few (less than a handful) of "plugged" cigars: meaning, a piece of tobacco was improperly placed and cut off all draw on a cigar. I have had very few cigar so tight that they were not smokable. Call me lucky, but I can only speak of my experience.
I keep my humidor at a steady...
No it won't. Your information on this subject continues to be horribly wrong.
Your notion that these new regulations will expire because of some as yet to be explained reason, is completely wrong as well. These updated regulations will continue to be a part of the "Cuba Sanctions" under OFAC...
Sorry, but Boones farm and MD 20/20 is NOT wine. Ain't even close. It's ETOH with artificial sweetners and food coloring. Same for Swisher sweets. They are NOT cigars. They more closely resemble a cigarette. This ain't being snobby, it's just the truth. I don't know anyone who "started" on this...
I prefer the JJ Natural much more. The maduro has too much spice and about 1/2 the way through gets pretty bland.
The natural on the other had retains a sweet grassy creaminess to it that is quite enjoyable.
rflook,
you may want to edit your post to remove the link and also read the sticky at the top of the cuban forum in regards to the posting of sources, discussion of sources, and linking to sources of cuban cigars.
I don't presume to know Rods position and I don't want to step out on a line but:
Yup...
That "blog" was nothing more than a bunch of add banners, links to content on other sites, and a couple of "cigar" reviews. The wierdly uncomfortable "sexy" vid, a minute and a half long, with the cigars...
Obvious fakes. The band has small printing and the shape is a micron off. The length of the cigars are all wrong not to mention that there is no such thing as Hoyo.
Sorry.
