Smoking one of these with my son. Mild start, getting a little better as we go though.

    Today's Smoke 2017

I generally wait until afternoon to smoke, but it will be a busy day. On tap; a Man O' War Ruination, a cup of Mr. Jerry's Killer Beans and for later, a couple of eggs "The Ladies" were so generous to provide.

Welcome back Brett! I fell off the radar for quite a long period of time too. The great thing? Not a lot has changed! :)

    Pleasant Surprise!

One of our salesmen went to Vegas last week for the ISC (Security) trade show. He stopped by Casa Fuente and bought me an Opus X Perfection #2. I believe I will put it back and enjoy it in early June while enjoying the evening view from the cabin we've rented on the lake. What a pleasant...

    Today's Smoke 2017

Trying to enjoy this... not real impressed. Uneven burn, not great flavor. Only been in the humi for a couple weeks. Hopefully time will help these. On the plus side, it is a beautiful day here in the Salt City!

    Today's Smoke 2017

On the menu for today was an RyJ Wide Churchill. However, while perusing my stash I found a Ashton VSG robusto. For whatever reason it spoke to me "Hey! Smoke ME!". I'm glad I did, I certainly like the spiciness of the VSG series and it had been a long time since I had smoked one. I may get that...

    Oliva serie v melanio robusto

I just finished smoking one of these cigars. I enjoyed it, good flavor, nice aroma. I'm not sure how else to describe it. I didn't taste anything specific other than tobacco. I'd pop for another one or a box. Next up, RyJ Wide Churchill. That will be tomorrow.

    What's on your plate today?

Working on Christmas dinner this evening. My part of the feast is savory butternut squash braised in brown butter, corn and wild rice casserole, Cajun fried turkey, smoked turkey (lovingly steeped in a secret brine, and smoked slowly over a mixture of cherry and hickory), bourbon pecan pie, and...

    What's on your plate today?

Tonight I made potato and leek soup. Leeks, butter, potatoes, chicken broth, garlic, thyme, bay leaf, and cream. Simple, but quite satisfying! Earlier I smoked some fish (striped bass) my boss gave me. It will be tasty Monday.

Where did everyone get there humidor from?

I purchased my end table cabinet from Tampa Humidor some years ago. I modified it some for temperature control. It still works like a champ! See: http://www.cigarpass.com/forum/index.php?threads/humidor-modifications.21096/
