Mine would be Glenfiddich 15. I would recommend trying a dram of various offerings at your favorite watering hole.
There's also Lagavulin 16 but it's pretty smokey.
As long as the RH is above the Boveda's set point it should absorb. So if your sponge (good idea I think Tom) is keeping the RH above 72% any Boveda below that should absorb. The more surface area your humidity source has the more moisture it should generate. I mean it should generate it...

I had a bottle of the Glennfiddich Bourbon Barrel Reserve a while back. I had pretty much same feeling. It wasn't really Scotch or Bourbon but somewhere in between. When I want Scotch I want Scotch and when I want Bourbon I want Bourbon. Of course I still drank it. :)
