Like everything in life, moderation is key. Anything taken to an extreme is not good. Unfortunately, moderation is not taught anymore, much less practiced.

Sorry to hear about that @CoreyRhoads. Our beagle, Jordan, has diabetes too and has had it for about a year. Sounds and looks like the pup had a good life and was taken care of well.
The Palios from 10 years ago were the best, before they were sold; best cutter I ever had. I don't think they are even made in the US anymore. Isn't that the same with Xikar now a days too?

I use a Firedisc most of the time now for my grilling. Similar concept to the Blackstone/griddle; basically like a big cast iron skillet! And burgers and steaks turn out better than on the grill. You can still get char on them, by turning up the heat and letting it "fry" a bit in the center.
