    Reluctant admission

It takes a man to admit that he needs help. I've trod similar paths and I want you to know like jfields said that it will get better. Your being pushed to the emotional limit by a woman day after day isn't good for anyone including your daughters, you've made the right choice without a doubt...

    Today’s Smoke 2019

Herrera Estelli Toro, first HE I've had. I'm fasting so water only. So far this cigar is better than expected.

Cigars 101: what are the best sticks and does anything rival Cuban?

Getting back to the subject at hand, does Habanos SA have a proper retort to the finest Cameroon wrapper? I can't think of one off hand.

    Today’s Smoke 2019

Smoked one of those last Friday. One of the best cammies I've had. May Don Carlos rest in peace, we remain thankful for his life's work.

    Today’s Smoke 2019

Had a dirty rat on Saturday, my first. Not bad for an $18 Corona. Would smoke again.

    Noob questions on ageing.

I want to highlight BBS's post here because he raises an issue that is under appreciated by noobs: RH management. Having a cigar at the right RH in a stable environment is probably the most important factor in your enjoyment of that smoke apart from the marca, and certainly much more important...

    Noob questions on ageing.

Generally speaking, NC tobacco is aged for several years in bale form prior to rolling and then aged as rolled for another 1-3 years prior to release. Extended aging was one of the great innovations in NC cigar production among former Cuban makers who were at least somewhat dissatisfied with the...

Then I'll stick to my Don Carlos Reserves and Magnum Rs and Hemingways until conditions improve. That is truly sad news my friend.

Cigars 101: what are the best sticks and does anything rival Cuban?

The Habana Colossus will never wave his oriflame over the rebels of Cameroon, Sumatra, Connecticut, or Ecuador. Which raises the question yet again, of whether the greatest cigar imaginable is a Cuban puro.

Cigars 101: what are the best sticks and does anything rival Cuban?

That is funny and probably true, although the perception I have is that top NC marcas like Fuente and Padron exceed all Cuban lines in terms of construction.

Cigars 101: what are the best sticks and does anything rival Cuban?

I'm certainly no expert on CCs, but I can attest to this: a RASS with 8 years on it is the second best smoke I've ever had. Number one is an OR 858 Rosado. The later being complete unobtanium at any price and the former being common as aged CCs go, should tell you all there is to know about NC...

    Oh please......

This thread begs the question: what suspect brand preferences do you consider red flags as to people whose opinions about cigars can be safely ignored? Examples- - Gurkha - General Cohiba - Macanudo - Acid or other infused cigars - Rocky Patel
