Smoked a Comacho Corojo Robusto last night. Got a sampler as a gift. It was OK and for the first time, I was able to understand flavor profiles within cigars. This particular one had none...lol
I know this does not deal with compressor units but one thing worth noting about thermo units which I was not aware of until recently and don't see mentioned often enough, ambient temperatures play a large roll in controlling the temperatures inside of the wineadors. I've been having a huge...
Wish I would have looked in this section about 2-3 weeks ago. I was in Orlando for vacation and I was looking for a place to smoke. The place at Downtown Disney was grossly overprice IMO. I wound up smoking by the water one night I was there. I felt like I was breaking all sorts of regulations...
Still having problems maintaining temperature. I had turned the unit off for a while hoping things would reset but no luck. I've searched a few sites and cannot find any real troubleshooting methods for it. I had no idea the ambient temps effected this unit so much. The room its in is dry and...
Heartfelt sells different sized bags FYI. I use 2 in my winedor and 1 in my tuppador and split up a pound of beads. They work great. Im sure stockings are very similar if not the same. Probably cost less too.
Just for cost savings, I've been looking into Johnson Controls thermostats and found the same model (419) on Amazon for under $80. http://www.amazon.com/Johnson-Controls-Digital-Thermostat-Control/dp/B00368D6JA
Smoked a La Aurora Perferidos which was a recommendation from the gentleman at the local B&M. Said its a limited edition cigar but it was pretty good. Took a little while to open up but I enjoyed it. Personally, not sure if it's box worthy but I would definitely recommend it and smoke one again.
I've purchased from both of these guys as well as Jimmy Zaid from JSR Cigar and have nothing but great things to say about all of them. They all make you feel like you've been a customer of theirs forever. The service and shipping times have been flawless. They certainly give you more than one...
I used Roboform solely for years and recently started using LastPass. Love them both but I will be transitioning to LastPass as it offers better security IMO.
I did try the Newbie Sampler trade back when I first joined. It was definitely a great way to start. Samplers are definitely the way to try new things. I guess my question should have been, "how many different favorites do you have?" I have my go-to's which I buy boxes of. There are about 4-5...
I was wondering if the power outage caused the tstat to act flaky initially. I thought about putting the winedaor on a battery back up but I don't know how meaningful that would be. I have an extra one lying around.
Those Johnson thermostats look nice and I've looked at them before. I may pull...
Thanks guys. I don't plan on changing my buying habits for a number of reasons. I figured a few samplers would allow me to sample cigars that I may not have ventured out and tried myself. I've been sticking to boxes of my routines. For the more exclusive or higher priced cigars that I like, I'll...
Ok, I'll leave it as is for a few days. I wasn't sure if there was some way to reset the thermostat after a power failure. I found it odd that I had the temp back up, put the thermostat back to 66 (max) and it still proceeded to drop down to about 62 now.
Has anyone experience any issues with...
I've been following the Today's Smoke thread and some other review threads and noticed some people have such a wide variety of cigars. I'm just curious how you gain such a variety of cigars? Trades? Samplers? It seems like some people have more than one of the same cigar. Do you guys just have...
I recently experience a power outage which defaulted the wineador temp to 50 instead of 66 where I"ve been keeping it successfully. I unplugged the unit and opened the door for about an hour and the temperature went back up to 66. Plugged it back in and reset the thermostat to 66 and the temp...
Congratulations and best of luck to you and your wife. It's a game changer and puts a whole new view on life.
