There are many factors that will affect the seasoning process, one being how dry the humidor was to begin with.
If you aren't confident your humidor is seasoned, double ziploc bag the cigars, or use a Tupperware or Lock-n-lock. That should be fine for a week or two until your humidor is ready.
Just a warning to anyone sending cigars to Canada through the postal service, the possibility exists that Canada Post will go on strike on June 3rd.
Hopefully this won't negatively affect any current shipments en route.
If internet tobacco sales are prohibited by their policy, why would they even bother to set you up as an account... other than potentially grabbing some cash for the set up. It's not like you just recently decided to sell tobacco products.
A ziplock bag, or a tupperware container, or both will probably work just fine. Some vendors also sell Cigar Caddy travel humidors for $20-ish.
I don't think a cigar box will do much to maintain your humidity.
Al, just letting you know the box arrived safely today. Nice way to finish off the week! The pictures don't do the cigars or the packaging justice. Well done on both you and the folks from My Father!
Doc, thanks for the story. I read it last year too.
Danny, thanks as well. Both are a great read for the younger generations.
Even though Memorial Day isn't celebrated in Canada (at least not in May) it's good to kmow the real meaning behind certain holidays.
Done. It's killing me to have to wait for these to arrive Al!
