It will recharge if you directly soak it for a few days. I've done it several times and it won't hurt the humidity level.

I fill up a tupperware container with distilled water and dumped them in it directly. 3 days on the medium pack. Leave some little chunky bits inside or you'll overcharge it. Been doing it to the same Boveda packs for years and years no problems.

The scorcher on Cigar Page has them dirt cheap in bundles and samplers. I saw a box of 10 for 40, and a bundle of 20 for like 60.
