    Humidor just completed

Just finished this and thought some of you might enjoy seeing it. It was commissioned by a BOTL in Virginia. This is made of first growth (virgin timber) yellow pine that I salvaged as stair treads from a 125 year-old farmhouse that was going to be torn down. The paint and ground-in dirt on...

    Favorite Bargain Cigar?

I smoked a 14 month-old Padron 3000 maddie today. (2000s are just as good, just a shorter smoke.) Unbelievable smoke for the price ... or maybe even regardless of price. (Not quite but you get the idea.) A really fine smoke IMO. I will continue to buy a box of these (and the 2000 maddies)...

    Famous / notorious ancestry?

    Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial

Having been gifted some Epicure #2s and fallen in love with them, I just received a cab of 50. Even with only 9 months on them, they are a sublime smoke and I have nubbed 3 before putting them away for some rest. It will, however, be difficult to leave them alone so I may have to order another...

    La Flor Dominicana - Cheroot

Thanks for the fine review! I enjoyed my first of these on Friday after work. Yes, they are very strong, but they do have wonderful, smooth flavors and are worth the price IMO. I intend to add to my stash of these before they disappear.

    Pipe just Burst!

2 winters ago I got a call from folks with burst pipes in a 2nd story bath over an unheated porch. After about $3K they had repaired pipes, repaired holes in the walls & shower stall, and a new insulated, drywalled roof on the porch. Hope yours is not that intensive ... however, I was grateful...
