Here's the specs according to M$:
300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended
128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended
1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space

You guys aren't wrong, a new machine is *probably* a good option if any money is to be spent. The real question is RAM, if there's 512mb in that box you can run XP, it'll be a bit slow, but free.
We'll see. I'll post hardware specs (the ones that matter) here when I get 'em.
