Tried the 57 yesterday from the US Macallan rep. He had a sample bottle which is the first of this vintage to be in the US. Fantastic nose of caramel and fruit and one of the smoothest Macs I have ever had. Very long and complex. Wish I could have had enough to smoke my Cuaba with but hey I was...
Wow, after about an hour after ordering my 4 sticks the source was sold out and they just got them in Wed evening. Hope these huge expectations don't water down the actual experience. Not sure when you all are getting yours but I'll be sure to post a full review as soon as they are in. Tic Toc....
Not sure who these guys are but found a video review an interesting way to review. Since it's not a member review I'm just posting it here. It inspired me enough to have two (2) packs on the way.

What a fantastic smoke! I remembered it was really something special when I tried one in Scotland in May but WOW. I this ranks up their as one of my all time favorites and to be this good right out of the box...paying extra for the these LEs are worth every penny.
Fantastic draw and burn and...
Yes, I have seen that and similar articles before. These forgeries they speak of are mostly "antique" bottles which are much older and worth much more than your average anniversary 25 or Gran Reserva but there is always a risk non the less. Almost all of my rare and antique bottles are purchased...
Yes, those markings are for the "fine and rare" collection only and I only have one of those bottles (my 52 year old 1949). If you bought that entire collection set 4 years ago for $140k it is now worth over half a million. Not bad. Actually the only place in the world that has the collection to...
In contrast to my last two boxes from the 1st source try out First souce try out , there were no bar codes at all on this one. Delivery was very fast and they actually provided tracking which was nice. Last time I smoked this LE Cuaba was in Edinburgh at the top of a castle so I have nothing to...
I hear ya. One can only do so much when it comes to DD on bottles. I had closeups sent of the labels and boxes and am lucky I have legit bottles to compare them to and they are spot on. Of course what's inside is what counts and yes, it can be any Mac variant if it's a great fake.
Actually...
You'd be surprised the deals you can find when willing to take a little shipping risk. I bought the Reservas from Italy and the other three from the East Coast. 25 and 79 Both came with original boxes.
Just thought I'd share the 5 new additions to my Mac collection. Took quite a bit of hunting for the Gran Reserva.
1) Older bottle 12 year. (Not sure of vintage)
2) Gran Reserva 1979
3) Gran Reserva 1980
4) 25 year Anniversary (1972)
5) 18 year 1980
Thanks, yes I enjoyed another RC last night and it was fantastic. Totally different experience when I smoke with water as apposed to a little scotch taste wise. Love both just very different. Thanks for the input.
Not sure if removed bar codes = gray market, but over all I'm pleased. Already ordered a few favorite boxes from another "more verified" source and will post those results as well. Thx for the input all.
That's what I assumed. Especially if the vendor scanned them into inventory. All and all after lighting one of the RCs up last night I have to say I am very pleased. Great Boli taste I am familiar with as well as fantastic draw and burn. A happy customer.
