In a tall cabinet, you can see a 2 or 3 point temp difference from top to bottom. This alone can cause a 4 or 5 point difference in humidity readings.

check your temp readings on the hygros. are you seeing a temp difference between the top and bottom of the cabinet?

distilled water on its own will not control your humidity level. Its the PG in the humidor solution that will keep the humidity level near 70%.

The Xikar humidifer should have been charged with Humidor Solution (PG/distilled water mix).

you should have no problems at all. As I stated before, Cigar Caddy is made by Otterbox. Otterbox is 1 of the oldest waterproof case manufacturers, and their cases definetely are the best available.

Cigar Caddy is a brand that is manufactured by Otterbox. Cigar Caddies made by Xikar are not Cigar Caddies. They are made by another manufacturer, and in simple terms are a knockoff of the original Cigar Caddy.

Every real Cigar Caddy brand travel humidor has the o-ring seal. There are knockoffs that dont, but if you have a real Cigar Caddy, it has the seal.
