    Today's Smoke II

My sister and her boyfriend plus myself got new ink done today. I started the day off with a LFD Chisel. After the new tattoo's, I smoked a 858 SG. My sister smoked a Hemingway Signature Maduro and her boyfriend had one of the Casa Magnum new sizes. We will be smoking some Hemingway Short Story...

    Houston Area Herf

Yeah...early afternoon is better for me than a late one. But Sept 3rd would be great for me. I could delay most of my B-day smokes I have planned for Sept 1st for the herf on the 3rd. :D

    Houston Area Herf

I'm game for most days. Except a couple of appointments at the VA Hospital in Sept. I could still make a mini-herf during the week. If no one works on Saturday, that probably is a good choice. I can always pick up BigJake if he wanted to be 3 sheets to the wind since I go through Richmond on my...

When Did Your Collection Become - Smokeable?

Any cigar in my humidor is considered smokeable immediately. Is some cigars better with age, absolutely. But you never can truly appreciate the changes unless you are willing to smoke one at the beginning and having a couple for later on.

Hello, I'm Gary and I like One Dimensional Cigars...

I smoke from all sides of the spectrum. Reviews are subjective to the one smoking and writing the review. I never grab a cigar from a review but if say Smokyballs says I need to try such and such cigar, I will usually listen to him. He knows what I like. But if someone I just met says I need to...

    Houston Area Herf

There is a place in Sugarland that isn't bad. Its called Cigar Cigar. They have a day pass to the Lounge that is $6 and you can BOYB as well. Cigar selection isn't bad for the smaller humidor. Only downside is if you live on the north side of Houston it would be a hell of a drive. Just like its...

    Today's Smoke II

I pulled out a AF Short Story Maduro from the new shipment. I'm hoping for better QC on the rest as the one showed potential after the channel was burned through. Definitely has a kick to it. Official review will be done over the weekend.

    Short Story Maduro?

On the spot naturally. I had my full box land today. Unfortunately, they haven't impressed me to much. The one I smoked had a channel that was about half the cigar. Once I was past that spot, it started to get better. I did notice it picked up in strength. :D

    What was your first box?

I can't remember a week ago so its impossible to remember what my first box purchase was. One box I did split with my best friend was a box of Padron Ambassador back in the summer of 1999. We fired them up while throwing bricks of Blackcats down the stair well in a frat house.

    What's Your Latest Purchase

I picked up a random selection of cigars by AF, LFD and others. Today I picked up a Queen B, Padron 1926 #2 and some huge freaking LFD thats huge. I forgot the name of it but it was something I haven't seen before. Looks yummy.

    Today's Smoke II

I stopped off at this Vintage Shave Shop in Sugarland and had a straight razor shave. Then went next door for some cigars at a place called Cigar Cigar. A pretty small shop but in a great area. Then had some New Orleans style food for lunch. I smoked a Queen B that hit the spot.

    Mold Plume debate

The Hemingway Maduros was also hit with the mold during that same shipment. Due to a shipment that was delayed in transit if I remember correctly.

The never ending bad news...and my farewell post!

Here is some good news. They did the shots in the Operating Room and all went well so far. I feel like Superman right now. I was listening to them talk and it was interesting. The main Doctor was training a new Doctor in this type of procedure. He said the traditional treatment doesn't apply to...
