Had a xikar which mysteriously broke and neither my wife or my son knew how..... and when I say broke it was in four pieces.
Warranty replaced it no questions asked.
But I find the blades on xikars to be to thick and don't give a clean enough cut for me.

Yeah I had read it.... but it was all a data base conspiracy. Just like that "flying pig" in California. It was really a alien space craft designed to look like a flying pig and not some hot air ballon from a concert.

I use both. I think you already said it. Gas adds no flavor, so if it is heavily marinaded or I want to be quick or will be needing to turn it off or on, I use gas. When I have the time and are planning it, charcoal.
Fresh ground burgers and skinless chicken really love the charcoal.
