March Pipe Tobacco of the month prt. 2

I voted Davidoff - I have a tin that's been resting nicely for a few weeks and I've been looking for an excuse to crack it open.

    The smell of Matlese Falcon

No smell of garbage here either, just good tobacco. I agree with your assessment LilBastage, Maltese Falcon is quickly becoming my favorite Latakia blend. At first I wasn't sure, there are a lot of subtle things going on. But after finding the right pipe for this blend (a Savinelli Collection...

    What's in your pipe today?

Just smoked some Boswell's Northwoods in a brand new Boswell rusticated billiard I just picked up this week. It's my first Boswell and is actually a bit larger than I anticipated (I need to pay more attention to their pictures with the ruler), but it is surprisingly light and a good smoker. I'm...

    Anyone live near Austin, TX?

I've lived and traveled all over the country, right now I've been living in the Dallas area for more than six years. If I could pick one place to live, it would be Austin. The pros - good food, good music, good vibes, Austin City Limits music festival. The cons - traffic, inflated real estate...

    Pipe Smoke vs. Cigar Smoke

No science here, but I smoke both pipes and cigars and the cigar smell definitely sticks with me longer than pipe tobacco.

    What's in your pipe today?

Yesterday it was two bowls of Orlik Golden Sliced. The first in a Stanwell Vario bulldog and the second in an ebony Peterson bent bulldog (80s I think). Nice and smooth. Tonight I think will be something with a bit more kick - either Nightcap or Westminster I think.

    Dunhill Nightcap

It is the same blend as the tin, but in bulk. Some folks say they can taste the difference between tinned and bulk tobaccos and have a preference for one or the other. 4noggins did have some tins a while back and they do get them in periodically. I have ordered from them several times with no...

    What's in your pipe today?

Yesterday I smoked some Dunhill EMP in a Savinelli Roma billiard followed by Escudo in an ebony Peterson bulldog. Today was some PA in a Dr. Grabow Grand Duke that is sort of a mini-pot. Somehow, those Dr. Gs seemed to smoke PA and Carter Hall like champs.
