Montecristo Joyitas / Rafael Gonzalez Cigarittos / Cohiba Panatelas are Laguito No. 3 (5 1/2 X 26) and come in nice boxes, but are long filler and not really value priced like chico's as they are better cigars.
They acquired all assets of CAO also I would assume in addition to the name. Did CAO even have their own factories / fields? From my recollection, the majority of their cigars are made by Torano and Perdomo anyways, so I would imagine that it wouldn't change much.
I am sure they will expand...
The constant political and economic instability in haiti also makes it very unattractive for any capital investment. That's one scary nation with a lot emmigrating to the US in the last 20+ yrs to avoid said problems.
I like them - they are a good bundled cigar IMHO for the price. Famous has free shipping on them, so they come out to around $1.25 per cigar. They are on the heavier side of medium and have some sweet & earthy nicaraguan flavor. I really like the maduro & the natrual is also alright. I have...
I stopped in and visited Gestocigars & it's nice - however, there is a store just up the road in Nyon on the main drag that is unbelievable. They have an amazing selection of cigars & they guy who owns the store is also the authorized distributor for Opus & Anejo in Europe. When I was in there...
I have bought two boxes from Famous & enjoy them. I find that they closely resemble their full long filler brother, the Tatuaje VI & have a nice leather / graham cracker finish & have a nice sweet aroma. The cuban sandwich filler has never been an issue as they don't flake and the ash holds...
I haven't liked a single pepin blend from CI as of yet (the obsidian and achilles were both bland and uneventful for a non-weekly special price). I dig 90% of his blends though, so I may be interested in giving one more a shot .
I am more of a single malt man in addition to belgian / trappist beers than anything else. But I don't drink single malts with cigars (strange I know). I find that the scotches I like have fine nuances that get drowned out with a good cigar. However, these notes that are harder to pick up I...
I enjoy Armangac after going to France also. I think I enjoy them more than Cognac since it has more notes akin to some of the upper region scotches I enjoy as it is not as "fruity". I have a bottle of 15 year old Vieil Armagnac that I am enjoying now that was purchased in Versailles last time...
They have the same strong profile and a lot of the same nuances, but are unique. I like them a lot as they aren't as strong as the machito, but are great after a nap.
My most recent purchase was a box of 1495 La Aurora's for $66 - gotta love bid sites.
Cigar: Perdomo La Tradicion Cuban Cafe B
Size: 6 x 54
Blend: Nicaraguan Puro - Sungrown Wrapper
Drink: Duvel Belgian Golden Ale
After a pain in the ass day, I decided to relax with one of my favorite combos of drink / cigar, a Perdomo Cuban Cafe and Duvel Belgian beer. I have never been...
So damn easy to take & email with my q. When I read reviews, I always think crappy pics are better than none - I'm a visual guy (but with bad eyesight looking back at some of my old girlfriends).
