A few months back I read a thread on the CF board about this. A person found that his did not only lose they're effectivness but turned color I think he said they turned yellow. Now this was after a very long period of use. Is this normal or defective beads?? don't know as he was advised to...

I agree with lucasbuck, I've seen the old timers who smoked White Owls etc. moisten the whole cigar due to lack of humidification.

Miguel, very nice Handbook, good information for all to use. 70%RH is considered the nominal setting for proper humidification of cigars. So use it as a starting point to adjust your humidity levels to where you prefer, ie plus or minus 5%
