I picked up some of the LFD Double Claro last year to smoke this year. I figured LFD's would have a bit more flavor from the filler than most. Thanks for reminding me to dig them out.
Here is the deal, Fuente. I pay a lot of hard earned money for your high end sticks. The least you could do is excersise some Q.C. when you glue on all of the ridiculous bands. I'd like to smoke the wrapper too.
Just finished my first Manhattan (of the evening) and an Undercrown DC also waiting for the 1/4" of ice and 12" of snow starting tomorrow. I still love winter.
It is funny. When I first got into the hobby ten or so years ago those were hard to find holy grailish cigars and now you can pick most of them up in any shop.
Started the afternoon with a Johnny O Lancero and there is a Davidoff Diademas Finas dryboxing for the evening smoke. Oldies but...
I didn't know Souldog, nor am I sure I should even interject my thoughts here.
It goes without saying that this a tragedy. My heart goes out to his friends and family. Situations like this are, and will always remain confusing and unjustifiable in our minds. As someone who has lost a close...
Working my way through older boxes I haven't been into in a while. Had a BBF from 06, a Anejo 48 from 2006, a Padron Diplimatico Maduro from 2007, an Avo LE05, and a LFD Coronado from a pack I got when they were first released. All were well worth the wait though the BBF seemed to have lost...
Just finished reading "The Drunken Botanist". If you have any interest in where your hooch comes from, it is a must read. It's all written from the plant side of where our drinks come from (she covers 120 plants) and shattered many of the misconceptions I had about different beverages. She...
One cannot go wrong with Townes.
I've been stuck on Michael Andrews' newer album, Foxygen (especially if you like the classic San Fran psychedelic sound), the new Phosphorescent, and the ever obscure Trappers Cabin albums.
I use and like Joomla. It takes a bit more knowledge than Wordpress, but there are a million plugins. My wife said if you need any advice on the marketing part just pm me. Her parents started and own Birdwatcher's Digest and she and her brothers run it now. She'd be happy to point you in...
At a shop in Columbus having a UF-13 to celebrate my father's successful brain surgery! No cancer! Then a sympathy cigar because they are going to have replace my hip. Still, life is GOOD.
I also enjoyed a Headly Grange Drumstick. I enjoy the rest of the line, but this was better. Well constructed, perfect draw, and razor sharp burn. I'm going to grab another box before they become scarce.
I enjoyed NYC and especially midtown. My wife lived there in the late 80's early 90's and said things had changed so much she hardly recognized it without the hookers and the danger. I really liked club macanudo. There is a two (entirely too expensive) drink minimum, but they had a decent...
