According to the CAO folks at the RTDA in New Orleans last year...they will be even harder to find. They have not been able to keep up production on this cigar and they are not making the profit that they would like. The double maduro (wrapper and binder) is costing them considerably more than...
I've got one of the portable poker-table tops that I can bring. I'll put that on my list with my cigars. I've also got a couple of sets of 11.5 gram clay chips that I can bring.
Besides directions on how to get to Dennis' house, this is the only question that I really need to answer. :p Everything else will just take care of itself.
I find myself smoking 10 Habanos to every NC. When I do smoke a non-Cuban, it is usually a VSG, Opus, or Padron (with some others mixed in). During the week of the RTDA...I'll smoke almost nothing but NCs. For my palate, Cuban cigars just hit home. There is something about the Cuban tobacco...
Great way of resolving this debate.
Everyone show up at the BBQ Herf. Each of you can drink a 6-pack of beer. We'll put you on a bicycle with a cigar to smoke. Then, you have to talk on your cell phone and read the newspaper while riding in circles under a bee-hive. All the while, we'll...
As the poll is stated, I voted yes, "drunk drivers are a danger to themselves and others." In addition, I think George hit the nail on the head...people just don't pay enough attention to driving. They don't take it seriously.
I was the member that emailed Butch yesterday. I have done three separate transactions with him and all went very well. He also uses me as a reference in his profile. Gonz gave him a lot of leeway in this one...over three weeks worth. I would have loved to have helped Butch out, but he's got...
Gonz.
I assume this is the same issue that you PMed me about a week or two ago? I have sent the individual an email "urging" him to take care of this right now. I don't know if it will help, but thought I would try. If it does not, do what you need to do and "out" him. You should not have...
Depends on the cigar and my intentions at the time.
I buy quite a bit of aged stock to smoke right now. That whole instant gratification thing.
I buy newer stock to age myself. I try to have at least two boxes of the cigars that I like. Typically, one aged and ready to smoke and one newer...
If it was 00 and not OO and it followed a month designator like DIC, ENE, or AGO, then yes, it would be 2000. However, it is pretty obvious that this is a code from before that time...I would suggest pre-1999. The format of the code suggests that the SA stands for 96. However, the OO is the...
Good reference, bro. However, it does not support pre-2000 box codes, which this one clearly is. Going to have to figure this one out the "old-school" way. :D
Everything Melski just said. :p I think he hit the nail on the proverbial head. I love the PSD#4...until that sick period. Then they suck. After that...wow!
The BRC is, like Melski said, much milder than the rest of the Bolivar line. Anyway, for my palate, all Bolivars need some age...
That is a strange code. Looking at the date portion, I would assume that the cigars are from 96 (corresponds with the SA). However, OO does not designate a month. Could it be OC? That would correspond to 07 (July).
The factory code is a bit of a mystery as well. The only think I can think...
My favorite Marevas (PCs) are:
Partagas Petite Corona
Punch Royal Selection No. 12
H Upmann Petite Corona
SLR Petite Corona
Por Larranaga Petite Corona
Pretty much in that order...at least right now.
I'm sure that I am in the minority, but of those listed, I would prefer the Partagas 898V. Love this cigar...but then, I am a bonified Partagas-whore. :p With a little age on them, these are wonderfully complex and very rich. I also love the Dalias vitola.
I voted for the Siglo III. The only Cohiba Siglo that I have tried and not really liked was the Siglo VI. I think primarily due to it being inadequately aged. The Siglo III, however, is a blockbuster. Very complex, with flavors ranging from the Cohiba grassy profile to molassas to vanilla...
Damn! I am going to be in DC that day, too. I would normally drive up and herf with you guys, but I've got too many things going back home that day. Have to make it another time. Have fun, guys.
