Dennis. I won't be in the area, but you might PM/email Jingles. Hell, he needs to get out of the house a little more often anyway. Tell him I said he has to go. No, better yet, I'll email him and tell him he has to go. :p
Smoked an El Rey del Mundo Lonsdale from 98 last night. Draw was way too tight, but the flavor was sure nice. Great smoke.
Not sure what, if anything, I will smoke tonight. HHHmmmmmmmm.
...when you don't think twice about sitting around talking about length and girth. :0
...when you install a window unit in the guest room over the summer months, so the cigars can stay cool (yes, I actually do this) :p
I think he is looking for the "most bang for the buck." What is the best Cuban cigar for the money. I would have to agree with Patrick in that the SLR Regios in a cab of 50 are fantastic and inexpensive. I would also throw in the ERDM Choix Supreme in the cab of 50...though these need to be...
Yesteday I smoked a La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No. 2 (Habana) from '01 and a Punch Super Selection No. 1 from '99. Yuuummmmmmy.
Today, not sure. Probably something tonight after my agility classes.
Great time yesterday, everyone. One of the primary reasons that I joined CP was to meet people to one day smoke with. I always like putting the faces with the names (and screen-names). Good cigars, good drinks, good food, and most of all great BOTLs (and at least one SOTL)...a combination for...
Hey, that's not Beth from Ropewalk Tavern. BTW, Beth is the hostess for the Baltimore Herf. Tom, Patrick, Jim, and Andrew will know what I'm talking about. :whistling:
I've not been to one of the dinners, but I would say it is easily worth $60. Just to go see Avo and his band play is worth a lot. I say go for it...sounds to be a great time.
I agree with the majority here. If I go into a B&M, I buy a few and then smoke what I feel like smoking. Most B&Ms keep cigars too moist for my tastes, so I rarely smoke anything off the shelf anyway. I've yet to meet a shop-owner that had a problem with it.
If I am at a lounge or bar that...
Never really found a Cuban cigar that gave me much of a kick or a buzz. I just don't get that much power out of them. Probably the strongest cigars that I have had were:
Romeo Y Julieta Cazadores - billed as the "strongest" cigar produced by Habanos SA...I don't really believe it; it is full...
Andrew.
I thought your initial plan, while maybe tentative, was great.
Going over the Cross Street after the Ropewalk sounds good to me.
We have to at least have one cigar at the Explorer's Lounge. It is a great atmosphere for sitting and truly enjoying a fine cigar. Quiet, spacious...
Oh yeah...looking forward to this. I'll have my Mate with me and possibly one other cigar-smoking Charlottesvillite. A second guy from my usual Thursday night herf will also meet us sometime during the day. All of us are there for dinner, so that makes Cigardawg + 3.
Edit to add that we will...
OK, guys, I'll give this a try. Someone who can better explain, please help me out.
The companies that advertise on CP do so legally. It is legal for them to advertise and sell Cuban cigars. CP has these sites as sponsors legally, since CP is not buying Cuban cigars from them. You guys...
The UK has huge taxes and tarriffs. That is the reason for the high prices. They also probably receive the highest quality Cuban cigars in the world. Also, might want to take out the name of the other vendor. Not good for members to name sources and it is kind of tacky to make the direct...
