I have received legit cigars with this removed.

I used this vendor for 2-3 years now and never have had an issue with them.

My experience is that not all 09's will have the barcode. Also, the cutting off is as mentioned, otherwise why would the vendor do it?

I love the Siglo IIs. Just got a box - EUP OCT08 - and they were great ROTT. I've only had a couple Trinis and they were also very good.

My latest box of Monte 4s from AGU AGO08 have smoked fine w/o draw problems. Since they are the most produced cc, there can be variation. Have you ruled out that your storage (RH) is not a factor?

In addition to what others have stated, I would confirm that there are no insect/rodent concerns before storing. Although I would think both would not be attracted to tobacco, I still wouldn't want any kind of intimate contact.

I think many are smoking great ROTT. Siglo II and III , RyJ cazadores, BPC come to mind.
