TOS FEB16 San Cristobal El Principe - not a favorite but fairly unique and a very nice smoke whenever I’m looking for something a little different. This one was a fine example of what aged SC can be.
‘09 Hoyo Epi 2 A/T - blast of baking spice straight away, copious smoke, clover honey, cinnamon & cedar. I try not to smoke these this young as they are glorious after two decades but I don’t have any tubos that old so decided to spark this one up. This one was strong! Maybe I’ve forgotten how...
Ah didn’t realize it had a fan already. That should suffice. Just need to circulate the air a few times a day to keep your RH stable and even throughout the unit.
RPO MAY00 SLR Churchills A/T - citrus, baking spice, licorice - medium full strength - just ok. Had high hopes for these as the cabinets I have are ethereal cigars. Maybe the next one will be better. Generally love tubos but have had rotten luck with Churchills. Such is life sometimes.
Wife is out for a mini getaway so I have my sweet little 3 year old daughter all to myself. We are having so much fun. Our bonding with just the two of us is maximum joy in overdrive. Never knew I could love so much.
Costs have skyrocketed and service is worse than ever. I hadn’t shipped anything for a few years and couldn’t believe how insane usps prices are now. Even with PirateShip. Really takes the piss out of sending stuff Willy nilly like I once was want to do.
ABO DIC18 Hoyo de Monterrey - Le Hoyo de Rio Seco - 5 1/2 X 56 Aromosos - my first of the newer jumbo HdM. Chocolate covered cherries on cold draw. Rarely get this much flavor on cold draws. Creamy, dried fruit but flavors are muted. Needs more time as most Hoyos do for my taste anyway. Also...
‘05 Punch Punch Cab - rose water floral bomb super rich mouth coating beauty. Second third tiramisu. When you get 2+ hours out of a corona gorda you know you smoked something special. Might be the best Punch Punch I ever smoked.
They are one of my favorite live bands. I saw them last about ten years ago or so in a small club. Was right up against the stage and Ian Astbury tossed his tambourine to me and I dropped it. He gave me this disappointed look then motioned back stage. Out comes Zakk Wylde with another...
