Life is interesting and beautiful. It's the interesting that can bite you sometimes.
I'm glad you're Dad survived. See, you never know what you might miss by checking out early! ;)
I saw the pic. What a great addition to your family!
One of my favorites. Thinking of springing for a box soon.
Got this at the local B&M. Is this an Enoisulli as it says on the band? :D Sorry for lousy pic.
Edit to add: It says in all caps, "ENOISULLI CRUZADO" A backwards illusione? Maybe it should be called a odazurc? :P
I think we basically agree - an accurate hygrometer, regardless of storage type, is critical. My tautology was true, of course, but oversimplified as they tend to be. Blue is blue is always true but there are shades of blue. :P
A coolerdor with a good seal is about as stable as it gets...
True, as far as hygrometers are concerned. I recalibrate mine every few years. Also, redundacy doesn't hurt. I have a few hygrometers. But my coolerdor is very stable and with lots of beads and cigar boxes.
But to each his own is the hobbiest's creed, I agree.
I have drifted more toward Gary's view that once you have a stable storage system it tends to keep itself, well, stable. That being said the remote systems do make it easier to check.
Don't think I need to check it every minute but then I don't have the inventory I used to have, either.
Hell, yeah. When I was reading the Cigars you miss thread I got to thinking, "What do I really miss?" Memories are funny things. We associate various emotions with them. I think we miss the adventure of discovery. Yes, they were great cigars.
But they were part of a whole experience that we...
Smoked a dryer repair cigar. :)
Now that my son is a home owner I get to help him discover the joys of home repair. He now owns a multimeter and knows how to use it, too. :P
