Decided to slack off this afternoon, and moved the Olmec Maduro up on today's schedule.

Foundation Olmec Claro - first time trying these. It reminded me a lot of the Murcielagos from the last couple of nights, especially last night's claro, but dialed up a notch, so I was not surprised at all to look it up and see that these are also made by AJF. This one is spice, pepper, earth...

HVC Cerro Maduro 4.5x46 - perfect size for a lunch smoke, and very good, thanks a bunch @dawgie!

Murcielago TAA 2023 - swaps a MSA claro wrapper in place of the maduro, and it's a great cigar. I don't know if there are other changes, but it's a much less drying smoke, and has a fair bit more spice to it.

It's so lovely out that I'm not quite ready to call it quits, so... Oliva Master Blends 3

Luciano The Dreamer, Hermoso #4, 5x48. Ecuador Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, Nicaraguan and Peruvian filler. Pretty good, very peppery and spicy, with wood and earth. Thick, chewy smoke.

That's an interesting line of thought. After all, crop rotation, cover crops, nurse crops, and fallow years are a real thing, even for simple home gardeners. Surely by now the tobacco growers have a system worked out that they believe works for them.
