It all depends on the cigar itself. I love both equally. Cuban tobacco has a particular taste I like, but so does Padron's tobacco. There are cuban cigars I love, and there are those that I don't particularly care for. Same with NCs. Cubans are great, but for $10 so is a PAM Exclusivo, and...

They are fantastic smokes, and it is sad that they are gone, however, I can't wait to see what other limited productions Padron puts out in the future. The bar has been set very high, and I'd like to believe they will try and top themselves.

I think they are a great smoke, well worth MSRP. I wouldn't pay a gouger's price for them though. They definitely have a taste that I've never experienced anywhere else.

I liked it. It starts out a bit earthy, and then develops into a nice smooth smoke. It burned perfectly as well. For the price these can be gotten for on cbid, I say go for it.

Glad to see the wife is ok. PA is a bad state for deer.

Great review. I just smoked one of these about a month ago. Mine was dated Dec '05, so it didn't have the age yours did. The things you noticed like the woody flavors and the slight vegeal notes were spot on with what I tasted, but the draw was much too firm on my end, even after poking it...

I just got one of these of Cbid for a dollar or two over MSRP. It's tough to pass it by when I open the humi. I don't know how long I can hold out.

I've definitely heard about it, but was never stupid enough to try it. You can always tell the type who drinks this, and you know they'll taste porcelain after last call.
