What was YOUR Cigar of the Year for 2025?

I was just thinking that my favorite cigar that debuted in 2025 was the My Father Blue. Up until this line came out, I hadn’t cared for any of the My Father sticks, but the Blue to me is on another level.

What was YOUR Cigar of the Year for 2025?

It's fantastic. They are a bit pricey, but I picked up a box at JR with 30% off text code last summer. I haven't tried the Supreme yet, but I bought a box of the Prestige robustos at a local Ferio Tego event. Another damn fine cigar.

What was YOUR Cigar of the Year for 2025?

Ferio Tego Summa. I liked them enough that I picked up boxes of both the Corona Gorda and the Torpedo.

    OCD and Accessories

Thank you. It’s a core piece of furniture from my childhood. Top drawer was where my parents kept the road maps. The handles are original and when they “clang” it brings me right back.

I am hopeful that this will also help limit my future accessories purchases, although I still have two more sheets of foam! 🤣

Here are a couple pics as well as before, during and after I refurbished the hutch. I stripped it down and finished with a semi-solid stain. I lined three of the drawers with black contact paper and the pipe drawer is lined with black felt.

I cut them to fit the drawers of my tobacco hutch which is an old dresser my Dad made in the '60s.

    OCD and Accessories

I was sick of everything banging around in the drawer so I picked up some tool-box foam and put the X-ACTO knife to work. I love the way this came out! All my most used cutters, lighters and pipe tools on one sheet and secondary accessories on the other. I still have a handful of odds and ends...

California Unflavored Tobacco Law Registration Deadline Passes- Dunbarton pulls out!

Yeah, that $12 WHOLESALE measuring stick seems ridiculous.

California Unflavored Tobacco Law Registration Deadline Passes- Dunbarton pulls out!

Here’s California’s list of registered exemptions from the unflavored tobacco law. https://utl.doj.ca.gov/ The website sucks. Downloading the CSV file shows everything a little better and can be searchable.

    Cutters.

I’m not seeing it yet. I have to do some more research to see how it might come apart. Tiny! Petite corona for the little one and maybe a Lancero on the bigger one. The V-cut could probably do something a little bigger maybe up to a 46 ring.

    Cutters.

Found this guy today. German made Pfeilring Solingen cutter. Has a V cut and two small straight cuts. From the markings it’s probably ‘50s or ‘60s. I’ve read they aren’t fantastic but for $12 I had to give it a home.

Cigar Snob Magazine “Win! Stuff! Live” haul

I took home two more Snob wins in November during Espinosa Month. One week I won a La Bomba tin sign, lighter and ashtray along with a G-SHOCK watch. Two weeks before that I won a hoodie and hat. My wife said she’s going to restrict my internet access on Fridays!

    A Night With Chazz Palminteri

Yes! I started running through his movies when I found out I was going and watched this one first. Jade is a favorite too. Gotta load up Bullets Over Broadway in which he was nominated for an Oscar.

    A Night With Chazz Palminteri

Great night at the cigar lounge with Chazz Palminteri, writer and star of A Bronx Tale. Great story teller too! Looking forward to trying his smokes and his wine.

    What's Your Latest Purchase 2025

Interesting thought. The lockers are in a separate room and require a thumbprint to enter so it’s closed off from the main lounge. When I toured it, I didn’t get an overwhelming feel of humidity in there leading me to wonder if it was underhumidified. I may put my own calibrated Govee in...
