I'd love to hear what other people are using also.  I'm looking for something for my cave.  Doors open just doesn't cut it in the winter.

After Oke&Coke reminded me of the Padron's I searched through the humidor and found a 1964  sitting there as suspected.  Not sure which it is (box pressed, 1964 Anniversary)  but it's sublime!  Thanks Oke!

I was at a launch of two new UK brands at Cuban Cigar Club in Newcastle (plug!).   First off was something I never heard of,  "Swag" 100% Dominican.   It was ok - but at the price I think with so many options I'd select something else.   Next up the Rocky Patel "Royale".  I'm a big fan of box...

Ramon Allores Robusto.   Undecided so far - a mysterious beginning...     (later)   ... and a great middle and end.  Was a bit dismayed to find a soapy taste for the first few puffs and it was a hard hit but soon mellowed into a lovely smoke.

  RH = 69   I used one in a small box humidor (50 stick) so just put two in here and it seems good.  To be fair, I'll watch it over the winter when we have the heating on more and if it drops then I'll make a change.

R&J Deluxe 2013 I didn't rate at all.  Flat - although might improve I probably wouldn't bother with it again. Bolivar (not sure of it's name corona size) - was very nice.   I thought the San Juan had good depth - but you're right, I'd be very interested in seeing how it matures.  I've never...

  Partagas P2 & Series D4, Punch Punch, R&JChurchill Wide, Hoyo Epicure No.1 & Especial, Upman Magnum (any size).   So I guess 7 "go-to's" but I could probably reduce that to 5 - and then a mixture of different Cuban and US-branded sticks which I tend to buy in cigar stores in a selection...

I agree with everything you're all stating.  I would have said the same and unlikely I would have tried if I hadn't been given the suggestion from a reputable source - and the few professionals I've asked, can't see a problem with it.   There is no smell from the potatoes at all. I don't use any...
