I thought the same, but the smell did not lie. Went to Home Depot and looked at the cedar. Looks and smells just like it. I was and am still shocked….

1st class humidors. They where very easy to work with once we got passed the wood issue. From our conversation the Remington has never came with Spanish cedar, but I can’t understand how no one has had an issue with that before?

Update. After all the emails with them assuring me it’s Spanish cedar, they send me a bogus import sheet etc. I get a call. The guy states it’s Canadian cedar and not Spanish cedar. He tells me it’s fine to use regular cedar….. but all the other humidors they sell use Spanish cedar? They are...

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought that.

The drawers are built very cheap. It’s not built like a premium product. The inside smells like a fence post in lowes. I think I’m just to picky 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m pretty sure it’s just cedar. I built my last humidor from Spanish cedar. I’m not stirring any sticks in it until I build new drawers. It could use more storage anyway! I’m trying to track down more drawer slides now, I like full extension. I’ll probably have 10 or so double stick high...

I’m new here. I just got the Remington humidor, I hand built my last unit from Spanish cedar. I’m concerned the shelves are not Spanish cedar. The smell is strong cedar like. Any ideas or advice? I do not want to ruin my collection!

Just ordered an olde English cabinet to replace my wineadore. Using a magna 3.0 is the plan, but debated on the hydra lg unit. Any and all info is appreciated!!! I know I’ll need some fans of some kind.

I think I have the same one on order! I plan to add a humidity controlled switch in mine to run fans that pull air through the drawers to the top.
