    Awesome, thanks!

    Don Pepin Garcia's

Blindedbyscience, Love your sig btw. :) Anywho, thank's guys for your reply's. This really helps me narrow things down. I'm a creature of habit, for me; I tend to stick with what I like rather then move around. Especially when it concerns cigars and pipe tobacco. I find what I like and I...

    Don Pepin Garcia's

Hey everyone, I been smoking cigars on the weekends now for a couple of years and I've gravitated mostly to Don Pepin's; mostly blues and sometimes the black label's. They've become my goto smoke. I've tried many brands, but the brands that I've been continually trying and comparing are...

    Corndog pipe

I've been thinking about trying that myself.

    gurgling

Even though, I go through a lot of pipe cleaners.... which I don't mind, they are pretty cheap, I make sure to have about three of them during each smoke. Most of my briers gurgle. But I also am a little heavy handed with my tamping, causing my draw to close often. I like a tight draw, because...

Well I've gone and done it!

I prefer milder cigars. In fact I just got through smoking a R.P. Vintage 1990 a little earlier today. So making the transition to pipe smoking was pretty easy for me. I know that there are a lot of smokers who absolutely love cigar leaf. But, since I've been smoking pipes, my fondness for...

    What's in your pipe today?

Tonight, I had a cob of Night Train, with a generous poor of Glenfiddich with one ice cube. The sun was setting and it's beautiful outside on my deck. With the ice cube almost melted, the Glenfiddich 12 was delicious and went perfectly with the Night Train. Darn good way to end the day. :)

    Recommend a Pipe Tobacco

I haven't tried Westminster yet. I plan on it though. A Balkan that I find myself liking more and more is Balkan Sesieni. at Cup of Joes It's a little more expensive at CupofJoe's but they carry it in bulk, which I haven't seen anywhere else yet. Though, I haven't tried it in bulk. I am also...

    Carnauba Wax

I have some idea's of what I would like to do to some cobs. But, actually, I do have a couple of cobs that are starting to show some wear and tear. I think that by staining them and then putting a real nice polish on them, they would look alot better. Plus, I think that by staining them, I...

    Carnauba Wax

Hey all, If there are any of you who refurbish pipes, I have a question. I'm going to play around with my cobs. I would like to make them last a little longer and look a little nicer. So I thought I would stain them with an alcohol based die and then buff them out with some carnauba wax...

    New Briar pipe/couple questions

I believe that the blend of tobacco that you have is already "ready rubbed" (the tobacco is already in small flakes) Pipe Tobacco comes in different ways. Some of it comes in long thin flakes, some in pressed cake or broken flakes or ribbon etc... Ready Rubbed is common and that is where the...

    Va/Per

Well, I've found my Va/Per Since having several bowls of the Stokkebye's Va/Per's I've also tried C&D's Night Train, pipesandcigars Anniversary Kake and MacClelland's 2015. The Night Train is very strong and cigar like. It was too much for me. So I have an ounce if anyone wants to try it. The...

    New Briar pipe/couple questions

I stand corrected, they were cleaned so well, that they seem new to me. :) I figured that they would be same as new as far as this thread was concerned, but It looks like I'm wrong. :) One other thing to mention... make sure you are doing a "charring light." That's where you light the top of...

    Recommend me a pipe lighter...

Linky ------> JetLine Multipurpose Lighter I bought this lighter about a month ago and works pretty well. It's not great for outside, if there's a good breeze it won't light, but once the wind dies down, I get a good flame. The flame adjuster on the bottom is a little hard, I have to use...

    Tobacco Prices

I was browsing some online dealers and it seems like a few blends have gone up. :( Balkan Supreme for one has taken a big price increase. No worries though, I like Proper English better and it's priced the same. :)

    New Briar pipe/couple questions

The Trade Winds is all black Cavendish with a casing. Cavendish should burn easily. All the Cavendish that I've ever smoked burned like a champ. There are two things that are probably the culprit. Like before mentioned. Your tobacco is too wet. It might take longer to dry then an hour. Some...

    Va/Per

Hey all, yesterday was spent smoking nothing but P.S.'s Bullseye Flake and Navy Flake. I had been trying both of these in the last week off and on and I was almost ready to throw them out. Thinking that the Perique was just too "over the top" for my newbe taste buds. But, yesterday, I decided...

    What's in your pipe today?

Squadron Leader in my Cob diplomat. I've tried several Balkan/English style blends this weekend. P.S.'s Balkan Supreme, Proper English and the Oriental, Dunhill 965, Frog Morton's, Balkan Sesaini and Squadron Leader. After reading alot on the internet and seeing Menthol mentioned over and...

    What's in your pipe today?

I just had some Cube Cut from Peter Stokkebye in a Cob Diplomat. It was a little rougher then Carter Hall, but it had a little more nicotine and it didn't have that chemical/stale cigarette element that Carter Hall does. I've had some MacBaren burley's and they all have a tendency to bit a...
