Talk about a cliff-hanger!

It was the JR Alternative to LGC Wavell Maduro. This was a fun smoke for seventy-five cents. Easy draw, lots of smoke, medium bodied. Alts tend to get a bum rap on the boards, but they can really stretch your cigar budget. (Merlin ducks)

Azon, did it burn OK? I had one about a year ago and one side of the wrapper must have been made from asbestos.

I would be interested in knowing what brands claim to have two wrappers or a maduro binder.

I would try just letting it air out for a few days first. If that doesn't work, you might try wiping with a little bourbon or whiskey and then letting it air out. I once wiped out the inside of a cedar cigar box with bourbon with no undesirable side effects.

I'd go 50/50 with all 4.

ERDM comes to mind. Double maduros are often referred to as oscuro. Here is a suggestion: Go to JR website and do a search. This should give you a lot of other brands that sport this wrapper. JR Cigar search
