Sharper Image personal humidifier for a coolerdor?

I just had this idea for my soon to be built coolerdor. I've got one of these older Sharper Image "personal humidifiers". I can't remember why I bought it, but it's pretty cool. About the size of a small soda can. It uses a 12v adatper and uses ultrasound? to put out a visible small cloud of...

    Fighting Florida Heat....

I'd go with the seal. I'm also in FL and just store in cigar boxes now. They tend to dry out the moisture packs and the paper towels real quick. I think ANY A/C action reduces local ambient humidity more than you might imagine.

    Short term storage? 3-6 months?

I'm a fairly new cigar smoker, so I haven't yet purchased a humidor. I've been buying a few "box deals" at a local monthly event at a cigar shop. I keep the stogies mostly in the same box I buy them in along with one or two (usually one) xikar moisture pillow type packs and a small wad of paper...

    Importance and "when" of humidor?

Thanks for the replies again! I guess what I'm curious about are these cigars like Padrons that come in the plastic wrappers. Doesn't it take a long time for those to dry out just sitting in average room temp and humidity? I can understand that in a hot car or other tough environment they would...

    Importance and "when" of humidor?

As a cigar "newb" , I'm finally getting around to thinking about the whole humidor thing. Went to another smoke shop yesterday that has a pretty good stock of them. Long story short, I wound up getting a few more cigars as usual :) and walking out with them in one of these humi-pack bags...

    Can you smoke half later?

Well thanks guys! I actually re-lit the last of a "cuban spliff" today. Great smoke, and still worked after lighting again. However, it was only out for about 10 minutes :)

Padron, King, and those "strong" cigars?

I thought the cigar was a "King". It's actually a "Cain". Very good smoke IMO.

    Can you smoke half later?

I've been running into trouble trying to "re-light" any cigar. It seems if I don't smoke it completely in one session it just doesn't light back up or taste right. I wrestled with a Cain maduro last night and wound up trying to cut the end off with my slicer after it didn't seem to taste the...

Padron, King, and those "strong" cigars?

Well that's good to hear. I suppose I'll have to checkout some of the vendors here for the "product" anyway! Service is always a good thing, and so far I've found it to be not so good at one of the "fancy" cigar places here in Jax. They got the sexy women and the high drink prices, but the...

Padron, King, and those "strong" cigars?

Thanks guys! What about the "King" cigars? I haven't had time to research prices and I'm not even sure exactly which one I bought at the cigar place. At any rate, it was a GOOD smoke as well. IMO as good or better than the Padrons I've had and it was bigger and slower burning. I sent a PM to...

Hey All! New here and (sorta) new to pipes

Hey thanks for the reply. Have any suggestions on where to get all these different tobaccos at good prices?

Padron, King, and those "strong" cigars?

Becoming somewhat "addicted" to some cigars I've smoked. Mainly the Padrons 3000 and 5000. I also smoked a "King" cigar which seemed to have a similar "strong" taste and the darker wrapper. I'm not sure which King it was as I got it taking some friends out to one of these fancy cigar places...

Hey All! New here and (sorta) new to pipes

Well, I started smoking hookah about 2 months ago. Since then , I've fallen down the slippery slope of both pipes and cigars ... and a few other things ;) Anyway, I was looking for some general recommendations on pipes and tobacco. So far, I've bought two pipes and a few different kinds of...

New to cigars and smoking. Some questions for you experts :)

Hello, Glad to have found this forum. I'm fairly new to cigars. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I got into "smoking" a short while back with hookah. For some reason, I started messing around with cheap pipes and now cigars. I'm finding that I really like cigars, or at least some that I've...
