21st

Well, its finally here, I turn 21 on Sunday the 30th. Any ideas on what I should try? open to any anything that you guys might suggest. Might try some Scotch for AVB's sake, he gave me plenty of information at the york yerf.(thanks) Looking forward to hearing your idea's.

On my 21st I just sipped beer and whiskey sours all night, tough to go wrong with that combo. :thumbs:

Tomorrow, get yourself a bottle of marachino (yes I know that's not spelled correctly :blush: ) cherries, and a fifth of 151. Empty the cherry juice and fill with the rum. Stick that puppy in the fridge and by your birthday you should be able to enjoy "Cherry Bombs"

Trick is to pop one in your mouth and CHEW, NOT SWALLOW them.

When I was a youngster we'd bet dollars on how many we could down, 1 dollar per bomb. Whoever had the most got the difference in dollars from each player.

i hope he takes all of the advice and actually remembers his 21st. i mostly remember the toilet and limo bill for cleanup more then anything on my 21st.
and a bunch of 1/5ths = gallons, although i have seen 1.5 liter at the new hampshire liquor stores near the toll booths.

I agree, now that you're "of age" sit down at the bar and order a nice scotch or Irish whiskey and pair it with your favorite smoke. At least this way you'll remember your birthday. Enjoy!!

alcohol can improve a good meal, and a good evening..

or not. if you really want a good birthday, make it one you can remember later..

the appropriate choice of companion, with gender a most relevant characteristic.. is Very Much more important than which booze. I advise something sophisticated, expensive, impressive, and not terribly alcoholic. A 5 year old 'big name' Champagne of the sweeter (and thereby cheaper) version.. in a magnum. with a nice date. a HUGE bottle is gonna be plenty for dinner, dancing, and still slosh home and remember it later. leftover champagne goes GREAT with cornflakes & fresh strawberries, btw.

I mean, when you are old, what do you WANT to remember?
and be warned.. don't get the cheap stuff and buy 3 bottles..

champagne hangovers are fairly short, but sincere.

I would suggest housing beers all day and night (PBR tallboys, Keystone, or Natty Ices would be best) up until the clock strikes midnight. Top each hour off with a shot of bourbon with everyone. If you start at 2 or 3 you'll be blackout come midnight. This would be ideal, then hit the bars at midnight, make sure the friends have a camera and let them buy you shots all night. The closer should be a microwaved shot of milk and tabasco sauce to make you bow to the alcohol Gods.

The enjoyment of legal alcohol on the 21st, IMO, should be the actual night of your birthday, at a bar/restaurant for dinner.

Granted I am still a ways from the 21st, but no rookie to celebrating 21st's. Celebrate the fact you wont have to use a fake ID anymore.

i suggest celebrating with bottle of superpremium booze, split between friends, and then hitting your favorite or the best reccomended bar. proceed to let everyone else pay for you. enjoy!!!!!!!

I reccomend going to Atlantic City since you are not too far. Rent a hotel room in a casino. Gamble a bit maybe you will get lucky on that day have a nice dinner and take your friends and some nice booze to the room to celebrate further. If you have nice female friends you might get lucky both on the casino floor and the room afterwards :whistling:
