My other hobby
Just to keep this cigar related (instead of being blatant post-padding) here are a few cigar-related things going on in my life!
With this post, I am 1/2 way to non-newbie status (100 being the magic number). I have already checked off the trades and pass participation. According to the recent Cigar Magazine (I got a subscription from JR's for Christmas) just the fact that I read and post here makes me a "cigar maniac"...ha, ha, ha
I got my Xikar leather case today in the mail. I think Stogieman gave me the tip of registering at the web page....somebody reminded me in a post too. If you don't know, Xikar will send it to you for free if you register with them. It's pretty nice. Thanks guys!
I posted an audio review of a cigar I got from Russell in his "5-stick-blind-trade" offer. The file is 1.5M in size, the post has been viewed 150+ times, but my bandwidth for the month is only 50M. Lots of folks are reading the post, but not clicking the audio file or not listening very long. Maybe I'm not as fascinating as I think!
I present the audio review as an introduction to the technology and as an option for anyone better qualified to review a cigar (that's just about everybody here!). I'm happy to share what I've learned about creating an audio file if anybody else wants to try it.
I guess that's it!
Cheers,
Joe
