On May 25th 1935, perhaps the savior of the American Game, Babe Ruth, hit his final home runs #712, 713, and 714 in one game at Forbes Field against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played his final game 5 days later.

He was a Boston Brave at the time.

Speaking of the Babe, it's a little known fact that he hit his first professional home run playing in a game in Toronto, Canada during a triple A game in 1914.

On Center Island, right into Lake Ontario... people still search for that ball!

Its cool that Babe hit his last 3 in the same game. Im really hoping that Bonds continues those slumps. The only thing he deserves is getting hit by a pitch.

Doesn't matter how many people surpass the Babe's homerun total. I'll only be impressed when someone comes along and hits more home runs than the all the other teams' season homerun total. Oh, and they better be able to pitch complete games too.
