RASCC!

Yeah buddy... I love news-letter only deals :D My last Casa del Habano news-letter had the following in it.

Just received 6 boxes of the hard to get "Ramón Allones Small Club Corona", first come first serve, news-letter coupon holders only 1 box per person limit.

So who the hell was I not to go buy a box? Printed out the coupon and off to the store I went.

And I was lucky to get one of the last two boxes... :thumbs:

Two questions:

Was the coupon for a discount or a golden ticket to purchase?

What's the key for?
 
The coupon was only to prove that your a news-letter recipient. The cigars cost full price.

And the key, dunno its my wifes, lol I didn't clean the table off to take the pictures. :)

Had my first one out of the box today while walking around our town's christmas market. :love:

These buggers are good fresh. Way better than the RASS when they are new.

In fact I'd be willing to say they are better than the RASS period.

Whoa there! Let's not get carried away... :whistling: I've always loved the RASS, so those are some tough words ;) The RASCC are pretty cheap smokes too, so if I can find them in a shop in Europe, I'm going to buy a box. I'm pretty sure I would like these. Would you say they taste like a shorter RASS? Or are the flavors noticeably different?

BTW, can anyone tell me if smokes in cabinets are better young than regular young smokes? I have smoked two RASS's from a cabinet and they were excellent. The first box of RASS I bought had a smell of ammonium to them, they were so young, but the cabinet was great (April 06 I think).

My first RASS I hated, one of the worst Cubans I've ever had. The second one was ok, but nothing special.

The RASCC I smoked yesterday made my chest hair grow another inch it was so good, and the second I smoked about 20 mins later was just as good.

They are between 115 euros to 150 euros a box of 25 depending on the retailer. So a good deal for sure.

*edit* to answer your questions, the taste profile is different, the RASCC is a tad stronger... more "in your face" so to speak.

And in my opinion cab boxes are better than the flat boxes due to them leaving a bit of air in with the cigars so they can breath.

I smoke them every couple of months or so, I like them (other than the first, that fugger was horrible) but usually I'll reach for a Punch Punch instead.

I know that they are one of your favorite cigars Lemon, so look at it this way, I'm leaving more for you to smoke lol :cool:
