Not that anyone here probably gives a damn about Syracuse, but after an enjoyable and very enteraining game to end like that makes me want to burn my damn humi and every smoke in it (okay, I guess it wasn't that bad). However, getting two first down and goals, on the 2 yard line, in double overtime and not able to punch it in for a TD is unbelievable. Being within inches away from the goal line on 3rd down and not calling a QB sneak but instead, running an option (which loses a yard or two) was unthinkable. Inches away with a big QB and we don't use our QB to ram it in - hell, if we tried two times and got stopped then I'd take my hat off to the Iowa defense but that piece of sh$t play calling is absolutely frustrating and maddening as hell!

Okay, I'm done venting... there's always next week (although I've been saying that for the last 11 games).

I smoked two during the game so my palette is pretty toasted. However, I think I might take your advice on the drink. A local bar has 23 ounce bud lights for $2.50 - I think I might go spend a five spot and try to rid this horrible memory from my mind. Did I mention that we were on the 1/2 yard line on 3rd down and didn't run a QB sneak?

CC, somehow I just knew your crusty ole' ass would respond. However, as much as I would like not to, I do agree with you entirely. In fact, if you would give us five games right now, I'd ask where to sign.

I really believe that what I've seen, the 'cuse is on the rebound, but it just isn't going to happen very quickly. We're definitely improving, but it will take some time with a brand new coaching philosophy. Perhaps we could make a friendly wager on the Uconn/SU game. ;)

Oh, and by the way Cat, remind me ('cause I've had a few cocktails tonight), who won the Big East Tourney last year?

Bummer for Syracuse, but it is their fault for playing a quality team. They should use the Texas A&M scheduling method. I just got back from watching A&M beat the hell out of what I believe was a HS team for the second week in a row.

As for taking the sting out of a rough loss, I always thought something a little harder than beer worked best. I always keep a bottle of Titos around. It is pretty affordable, but pretty dang good.

No wager for me, I'd bet UCONN will lose to Syracuse in football because UCONN has no business trying to compete in IA college football.

As far as basketball, how many games did Syracuse win in the NCAA tournament last year? ??? One more question, it's been a while so I don't remember but who won the Big East regular season last year? To me, that means more than the tournament. ;)
