So, coming on the heals of the new Michigan bill that makes it illegal for a partner to change financial or living situations with a pregnant woman (no, not just married, dating too - and the law doesn't even require the baby be yours, just that you had an existing financial and/or living situation), the second highest court in MI today ruled that adultery is, in fact, a case of first degree criminal sexual conduct. Basically, adultery can now be tried the same as rape!

So, yeh, they wonder why people are living this state like it's turning into a hell hole.

Great!!! Now to solve this problem, we need a law to outlaw sex, then cigars to prevent any further global warming, then we need to outlaw children to prevent any further child abuse, and how about outlawing alcohol to prevent DUI ( oops, that has been done).

Any other suggestions??

This sounds kinda like a double standard to me. What if the pregnant woman is the offender (changes the financial/living situations)?

Just brand everybody on their forehead that commits adultery. That's the only way we can make it fair for everybody. :sign:

Has adultery ever been held up by the supreme court? This just seems like someone pushing their religion on me. If my wife and I make an agreement to allow certain activities, then is that illegal? What's the legal basis for a charge of adultery other than it violates one of the ten commandments?

Just curious here. I think the punishment you get from your wife is worse than being a prison bitch.
