Quick question about the Gurkha Ancient Warrior line. I've tried an Ancient Warrior (gifted to me by CenturyCigar -- thanks buddy!) that I really liked, and I noticed there's a "different" ancient warrior called "Ancient Warrior Vintage"

What's the difference between this:

and this:

I was under the impression that the bottom one there, is a blend made for Cigars International.

Not quite to par with the top one there. I'm sure others can debunk or verify this.

Zeebra,

While not a great description, this thread here may shed some light on the subject.

AVB drops his 2cents in as well.

Hope it helps.

Thanks man, that does answer the question! Seems like the same blend but in a size made only for CI.

Although, looking at the wrappers of the 2 cigars in question above, they sure as hell LOOK really different!

It’s confusing I know, the "Ancient Warrior Vintage" of one on the bottom has a champagne taste to it, its mild and only comes in one size which is bundled. The actual Gurkha Ancient Warrior line as you know it completely different and fuller bodied.

So they're not the same? Why did AVB say he didn't notice any difference between the 2 in the other thread? I assumed they were totally different flavours since the one I know has a maduro wrapper and the one on CI doesn't.

I couldn't tell ya. Perhaps his age is catching up :p (J/K) got a linky?

Brickhouse's link in post #5 of this topic. Check AVB's reply in that thread.

Hmm interesting I don’t know what to tell ya, I’ve had several ancient warrior’s and ancient warrior vintages and the vintages I had were mild with a champagne taste and were nothing close to the ancient warrior line. I’d put money on it if you smoked em side by side there nothing alike but I suppose that’s for you to decide. Unless I had an extreamy odd batch of Vintages.

Glad to know everyone is so concerned. There are 2 different AW cigars, one made for CI and one made for retail sale everywhere else. The blends seem to be the same to me but others say not. I like them both.
