I'm looking for a price guide for the Anejo line. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Mark

You might want to try the Anejo Opus X refrence thread on the lounge.

Thanks guys. I checked that one out and it is a great hread. What I'm looking for is what we should look at to actually pay for these sticks. The prices vary alot.

You should look to pay whatever you're comfortable paying with the knowledge of MSRP. If you're willing to pay more, that's totally up to you. They are fairly difficult to find for most people.

However, do know that by purchasing from gougers you support an abhorrent segment of the cigar industry. How much over MSRP is gouging? It's kind of like porn, you know it when you see it.

Good luck...

I'm seeing prices between 17 and 22 bucks for sticks in this line. Is this about right or can I find them for less?

I will never pay more than about $3-4 over MSRP for añejos. It takes some hunting, but if you build a good relationship with your B&M, you should be able to nab them at a good price whenever they get their shipments.

That's pretty similar to what I have seen them selling for. There may be a few places to get them cheaper, but they are a pretty hard stick to find. I agree with Lil' in that it's all about what you are willing to pay for them. More than one of us has probably paid more than MSRP at some point. Depends on what it's worth to you.

In my opinion $17-$22 is gouging for these cigars. There are many members on this site that say they can get them for msrp. If you're a respected and active member then perhaps you might find someone to get you some next time they are out, which if I recall correctly is around Father's Day.

Heard a rumor, not sure if its true. They said no Anejos for fathers day. Like I said just a rumor that hopefully isn't true.

I was able to acquire a box of Sharks for not much more than MSRP on this board. That being said I think that might have been a rarity. Mark I will keep my eyes peeled for you and when they pop up I will snag you some.

Jim

When my B&M has them it is normally $ 2.00 per stick over msrp which I think is reasonable. $ 17 - $ 22 is way too much imho.

Thanks brother and thanks to everyone who responded to this. Corrupted is what I am, corrupted I tell you.  :D

As everyone said, it's totally hit or miss. some places don't have any because they're priced good, some places have too many because they're priced awful.

I just recently got lucky and found a ton of them for about 50 cents over msrp at some random ass smoke shop in NC in a small town, and bought them all for folks on here. I'm not even that big a fan of them, but figured it was too good a deal to pass up for everyone here.
