Can anyone tell me why this black side bar and and time date display started coming up a few days ago. And how to get rid of it?

It comes up when I am moving my mouse around.

I would think you could right click on the side bar and close it or select properties then uncheck sidebar.

When I right click on the Side Bar nothing happens when I right click on the bottom bar it just closes.

I am running Windows 8, and after doing a little research I understand this is called the charms bar. I am researching how to turn it off now.

Yeah my wife's pc has that. I think you go to pc settings and go to corners and turn off corner navigation.
