I was lucky enough to be gifted a couple of these shortly after their release, and they've been sitting in my humi for a while, so I decided to break one out to keep me company on a drive from Indy to Columbus, OH. Since I hadn't had one before, (and since I'm killing time in the Hampton Inn right now), I decided to do my first review in quite some time.

It's a pretty standard churchill size (6.75 x 49), with a georgous wrapper. I can tell why they marketed the wrapper for this stick as much as they did. Nice and oily, with suprisingly few veins given that it's a sun grown. Given that my Xikar is in a yet-still-unpacked box from the move, I clipped the head with a $2 el cheapo double guillotine. Still, it cut very cleanly.

After firing it up, I got a decent amount of spice for the first few minutes, but then it evened out and kept a very good balance throughout. It had tons of flavor, a little spice without being peppery, and a medium to full body. It burned evenly the whole way down, and produced a copious amount of smoke.

Overall, it seemed like a toned down VSG with a little bit more complexity. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

I'd give it an 8 out of 10

Thanks for the review. I still have these sitting in my humi I guess now would be a good time to spark one up.
