I went to the local smoke shop today during lunch and there was someone different working there. Just about every time I go there, there is someone else I have never seen before.

Anyway, I asked her which cigars are not sold by the box.. she told me the Padron Anniversary and the OPUS X... They give 10% off on box sales too. So I asked about the DCM's and VSG's and she said that they have plenty of both so if I wanted a box to go ahead. I proceeded over to the VSG Robusto and grabbed a box to take home.

I paid $225 for the box of 24. It was a little over MSRP but as hard as they are to come by sometimes, I thought it was worth it. I could have also got a box of DCM Toro #4 for about $225 :thumbs: for a box of 20 but decided to get the VSG since they are harder to come by. ???

Please share your thoughts.

I just put these in my new humidor and I think the guy who made it and said it would hold 125 smokes was stoned. It is pretty full at 60 smokes. Hmmm. Time to upgrade?

Every Humidor I own says it holds more than what I can put in it. Take the count as in the smallest cigar you can buy count!! Gotta love the system they use.

Amen. I set up a coolidor last week. It is now almost full. (damn cBid) I think I am going to go buy a 150 qt cooler...

So this isn't a threadjack; I like the VSG's they were some of the first real cigars I bought while in search of a box to take on a fishing trip. tasty.

Beats the clubing I get when I get the chance to buy a large qty. ???

Have to edit, it gets worse when you "get" to buy the "mini-van" just so you don't have to listen to all the blah, blah, blah everytime you go somewhere. That thing hit my stogie budget in an unpleasent way.

My favorite VSG is the Illusion.It has the most strength due to the wrapper to filler ratio. They are tough to find especailly full boxes, sounds like you got a nice score.

My local guy just put out a box of the Belicoso...my favorite size in the line. I managed to pick up a few yesterday and will get more before heading to the lake tomorrow. Gotta love the VSGs.

Good call on the VSG's over the DCM, imho! But two totally different smokes.

If any of you are interested in a box, let me know and I will be more than happy to swing by and pick one up for you.

They had Belicoso #1, Corona Gorda, Robusto, Tres Mystique and the Sorcerer or the Spellbound... I forget which one of the last there but it was a big long boy. I am not sure on the price of that one either but all the others were fairly close, $210-$235 or so.

The Sorcerer if it was that big. I like the entire line. Always have a box in the humi.And usually some extras of various sizes.
If you manage to find an vsg ER make sure you dont pass it up.
