Oregon legislature has just passed a bill that will reduce the tax from 65% wholesale to 65% wholesale with a maximum of &#36.50 a cigar! That means a cigar that has a MSRP of &#3610 will sell for &#3610.50 rather than &#3613.25! The bill goes into effect on Jan. 1st, 2002. Thanks to everybody that contacted their congressmen/women!

Sounds great! You guys in Oregon are pretty lucky when it comes to taxes anyways. You don't have to pay sales tax, do you?

Don't forget the fairly hefty income tax also. The cigar tax will make it a lot easier to buy some of my faves from the locals.
