Well like the title states, today was a bad pipe experience for me.
Got home from work, made myself supper and thought "Hey it's time to sit down and have myself a pipe". Being as I only have one pipe a day I usually look forward to it. So I sat down outside under the gazebo got everything ready, pipe tool, pipe lighter, Solani Virginia Flake with Perique and a drink. Rolled/loosened up the the tobacco and packed it as I always do, went to light up...and my lighter is out of fuel...this should of been my first warning. Anyways refilled the lighter and went back to it, first pre-light went alright but after that everything went down the tubes. Couldn't get a solid light, had to keep relighting, then had a hard time trying to draw from the pipe. Well after all that you would think an stubborn fool like myself would just set the pipe down and walk away...but no my ignorance got the best of me and I kept trying to keep this bowl going. Bowl kept getting to hot, tongue bite, constant relights...lets just say it was less then pleasurable. Then when I finally decided to set the pipe down it gave me one last slap on that face and on my final puff I got a nice mouth full of ash just to end the day.
Anyways just thought I would share this.."memorable experience" with you all and ask if anyone else also has these bad pipe days? or am I just the lone one to have one of these crappy days. Well hopefully my next pipe goes better.
