For all of you California folks, Hi-Time Wine is having a sale on the Balvenie New Oak 17 for $56 instead of the normal $82. They don't ship out of state. If some Cali-body is going to buy one why don't you make it two and send me one. I'll cover the damages.

Edit: I guess a linky would help.

They also have Zaya Rum for $23 bucks....Based on your review, I wanted to drive down there to buy the Inverarity Ancestral but they are currently out of stock. Seems like quite a drive for one bottle but if more than a few BOTL wants in or you really want it, I am willing to drive there, buy and ship out.

Also, last time I was there, which was 2 months ago, they still had bottles of the 2007 Stone Old Guardian.

Nice price I think I got this for $70 from shoppers vineyard. I was not that impressed with the New Oak...it had about the same taste as the 12yr and with that bottle being around $45 I would rather spend less money for something comparable in taste. I did notice it had a bit more of a wood taste than the 12yr but has the same heather honey qualities of the double wood since it is matured pretty much the same way up until they put it in the new charred oak casks.

I found it much closer to the Founder's Reserve myself since there isn't any sherry in that or the New Oak. It certainly has more bourbon tones from the new charred barrels vs. the used bourbon barrels the the FR uses. I just need to get another one for the collection before they are gone.

I just found out that I will be watching the ND/USC game in Huntington Beach this weekend so I can totally pick this up for you AVB.

Let me know how you want it shipped.

Thank you. I ship all my stuff USPS. it doesn't have to be priority but does have to be well packed. Should run about $12-14 depending on what you pack it with. Let me know the total damages and I'll send you a check.
