Just bought an open country 7 tray jerky maker/dehydrator and put some top round slices in it this morning will let you know how it comes out. Did some apples in it a few days ago and they came out great.

Did you treat the apples with anything to prevent browning? I have been thinking of doing some, but have yet to try.

no i didn't they are a little darker but taste good.

Try some Very Very Teriyaki to meat. soak overnight. Makes some great jerky. You can get it at Wal-mart

thanks i am eating some of it now it is addictive, and i will never eat store bought jerky again.
