Broke down in Bakersfield

Hope you had some smokes with you or at least be able to find some in the city PJ.

I am hoofing it as the truck is at a nearby shop! But I am enjoying a Johnny O baby Salomone as we speak. No port though ???

Looks as though your quite the mad bomber lately. You had better put your brothers on notice at the dept, they may have to hose down your house!

A J-O Salomone? That'll be a nice, loooong walk through the city streets.

The bombs. heh. Just havin' fun. Kind of like a perverted game of "you sunk my battleship".

I've been there! Saw Buck Owens at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace on Buck Owens Blvd.

Hope by the time you read this you are home.

Its worse than that even as I was on my way to a small town outside of Fresno.
Well one nights hotel and $700 later, then the saga continues. I thought all was well, even though I was half a day behind schedule but I am on my way to stop number 2 when the engine light goes on again. Now I am thinking I am calling off the rest of the trip and heading home with the less than reliable truck now. So I turn for home and get a guilt trip from the 87 year old granny about not showing up. Mind you I have already turned away from them toward home. So I make my way back their direction and after an extra 2 hours drive on top of the 4 hour scheduled drive and the rest of the trip I made 2/3 of my commitments, am back home and never saw the engine light again. Whew my ass hurts!

PJ

Guess you had someone looking over your shoulder since the engine light never surfaced again PJ. Although your grandma may never hear of that story, glad you got a chance to visit her. Good job bro!

Did you drive that white work truck I saw you in Vegas with? That sucker looks pretty brand new, at least in my eyes.

Thanks for the positive thoughts guys.

Dave the truck is a 07-08 I don't know which. I thought it was a 08 but during this I was looking at the manual and it is for an 07. I know nothing at this point. But I have put 80,000 miles on it in the past 2.5 years. So it is now almost 100,000.

When I got to the mechanic at work today and told him about the light coming back on he said It might have been a reset after a certain mileage to let me know that the computer has reset. I wish I would have thought of that when driving. It would have saved me 2 hours and a few blood pressure points!
