Browser Speed Info

You can get 'Ad-Block Plus' and 'Disconnect' for a browser as well.

They are free. The first does just what it says. The second handles well...this :
"Disconnect lets you visualize and block the invisible websites that track your browsing history."

My buddy got me using "Ghostery" tracker blocker, as well as "AdBlock Plus". Don't know much about them in regards to what they might do with my data.
He's the guru. I just follow his advice because it's all greek to me.

Ironic. I've been using a browser called Aviator for the past year or so that does all this also. Curious and interested, I went to the opera.com website to check it out (using my Aviator browser) and they blocked me!!! LOL! Because I am blocking ads, cookies, etc., their site would not let me load the page. So here's a company designing a "safe browser", but their site is not safe, the irony in it all........

My buddy says, "anytime you go to the opera you're supposed to wait for the fat lady to finish singing". So I didn't wait maybe?

I used another browser and downloaded the code, I'll be checking it out sometime soon.....

Got a chance to play around a little with this Opera Developer release. I have to say I'm really liking it so far. It does an incredible job of blocking all the crap I might have to deal with on "special sites" I visit for downloading "special content". Not one ad presented or pop up got though, but full functionality of the site was still there. Very promising.
