Does anyone keep their old CA magazines?

Mine oldest is the 1993 issue with Justine Parchment on the cover.

I like to thumb through the magazines to see what the cigar issues were back then.

The smoking bans were not even an issue in the early 90's (or not reported anyway).
Gov. Schwarzenegger was talking about how the Republican party is on the rise.
Cigars that were reviewed were of a particular size only.
CA was about three to four times the size it is now.
Marvin Shanken had more hair.

Anyway. If you have some old ones to thumb through. Do it this weekend when you light up your weekend smoke and marvel at your love for cigars.

My oldest is from 2000. The one with BO DEREK  on the cover. I like to thumb through them every now and again as well.

I had to go digging last night and the oldest CA that I have is from Spring 1995 with Ron Perelman on the cover, roughly when I started to smoke cigars.

As I looked through them it is amazing how much thinner the magazine is now compared to then, heck even the old Smoke magazines I have are at least 3 to 4 times thicker than what they publish now.

I have every single one all the way back to the spring of 1992 when my wife (at the time) received a complimentary copy of Volume 1, Number 1 because she was a subscriber to "Wine Spectator" which is another Taunton Press publication.

The first few were actually very thin, they they increased about three or four fold in thickness (with advertising) then they slimmed down again as the cigar boom subsided. The first few also had just as many if not more advertisements for wine and booze instead of cigars, gee go figure :D
