This is an excerpt from an article on Cigar Aficionado's website.

"The San Francisco city legislature voted 8-3 on Tuesday to prohibit smoking in virtually all public spaces, including parks and squares. Those caught taking a puff in the fresh-air areas would be fined up to $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second and $500 for each additional violation."

The article was written by Michael Moretti.

Why is this not surprising to me. I lived in Davis and Sacramento, California for years. Glad to be out.

I lived in Sacramento until I was 18. Then San Diego until I was 24. I too am glad to be out of that crazy place. No smoking in public, what a joke.

This is just sad. Before you know it, we'll have to take a lesson from the 60's and engage in civil disobedience by lighting up.......in public space!. :angry2:
